I love the holidays, but I remember feeling like it wasn’t really holiday time because I had finals practically every day in December.  If I just had some holiday reminders in my apartment or dorm room, I think I would have gotten out of my slump!

Sometimes Smaller is Better

In regards to a holiday tree, you can get a smaller one.  This will work great for dorm rooms where there is little space to begin with anyway!

Stockings Aren’t Just for the Fireplace

Place stockings along your wall with 3M adhesive hooks to make the appearance of nostalgic fireplace.  Drop little treats and goodies for you and your roommate(s).  This will definitely get everyone in the holiday spirit as everyone prepares for finals!

Fake It Until You Make It (Home)

Candles aren’t typically allowed in residence halls, which could be a bummer if you celebrate Hannukah or Kwanzaa.  Thanks to modern technology, you can have the effect of a candlelit menorah without worrying about setting your room on fire!  A flameless candle is a great option and easy for moving.

An Ugly Sweater Can Do the Trick

An Ugly Sweater party is a holiday staple!  You can get together with your friends for one last hoorah before everyone goes in their different directions for the break.  This is a really easy because you can surf thrift stores to get a sweater from back in the day that would meet the criteria!

With these suggestions, you can definitely study for finals with a lot more holiday pep then you had before!  Good Luck with Finals and Happy Holidays!
