Over the course of this past spring, nearly 60,000 NSCS members graduated from college! During commencement season, five NSCS chapters hosted the first-ever NSCS Senior Send-Off Ceremonies to recognize and honor the graduating senior members for their accomplishment.

Senior Send-Off Ceremonies are a new NSCS event geared at celebrating the achievements of graduating NSCS members, and welcoming them as new alumni in the Society. This year’s ceremonies featured special NSCS alumni guest speakers, a renewal of the Society oath of membership, and a special NSCS gift for each senior member in celebration of their upcoming graduation.

NSCS membership is for a lifetime. After graduation, members continue to enjoy Society benefits and have access to the vast NSCS national network. Said one participating member, “I got a chance to meet and network with an NSCS alumna and the students who were also graduating.”

Ceremonies were held at the University of Houston, California State University – Fullerton, Howard University, Auburn University, and the American Military/American Public University. Chapters were selected to host the inaugural ceremonies on basis of merit and outstanding past performance.
