The NSCS Chapter of University of Maryland, Baltimore County is working with the Comprehensive Housing Assistance, Inc.’s (CHAI) Weatherization Day. The chapter is recruiting volunteers to assist in preparing the homes of elderly citizens for harsh winter conditions. Volunteers will be installing insulation to reduce energy costs, raking leaves, checking smoke detectors, and making other minor home repairs.
