Kaziah, majoring in Nursing at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro tells us about her favorite NSCS experience.
“My favorite experience with NSCS is when I was honored to be inducted into my university chapter. At first, I did not know many people on campus. I was honored to be able to meet such wonderful people and make lifelong friends through this organization. I never feel as if I am alone. I am also very grateful of how helpful this organization has been to me. As a first generation student of a single parent home, I did not have the funds to pay for my nursing school fees. Through the grace of God, I was notified that I received the Induction Scholarship, and it was made so that I would receive the check in my name. All of the funds went towards my nursing school materials, and this is one of the reasons why I will be graduating from nursing school in May of 2016”.
An interesting fact about Kaziah is that she has traveled to Mexico and climbed the tallest pyramid that anyone can climb. This is one of her most memorable experiences thus far.
