Meet our NSCS Scholar of the Week, Lukisha Griffin! Lukisha is a first-year student at Kennesaw State University where she majors in industrial engineering.
As a member of NSCS, Lukisha values the ability to be a leader. “NSCS has given me confidence and has helped me realize my self-worth,” said Lukisha. “I also realized that I’m not meant to set an example by following; I am a natural-born leader.”
On top of being a NSCS scholar, Lukisha has aspirations of business ownership. “I know I am destined to be an entrepreneur. I also realize that I have to crawl before I walk. It will take patience and time before my next great idea comes.”
Lukisha also works to set a positive example for her 21-year-old daughter. “I can’t continue to tell her to be her best and move forward with her education while I’m not following my own advice.”
