Many people are probably wondering what life is like after you graduate college.

Some questions that might be running through your mind may include:

How do I get a job?
What happens if I don’t get a job? (Probably one of the most terrifying thoughts).
What if I don’t know what I want to do after college?
Will I survive grad school?

Well I am here to tell you that as a recent graduate from the University of Maryland, College Park that all of these questions are completely normal! All of these questions began to consume my mind my senior year of college and still do four months after graduation.

Post-grad life is definitely a scary time period especially when you see many people around you doing great things and you are still trying to figure out what you want to do. But what most people do not tell you is that it is fine to not know what you are doing directly out of college.  And your career path can still change after graduation. As a 22-year-old many times I feel like I should already have everything planned out. However, like many others I had to realize that I am still young and I am still unsure of everything I want, which is completely fine!

My career path and goals have changed a lot since I started college in 2012 and have continued to change since graduation. However, I have learned to appreciate change and not run away from it. My path and goals are continuously changing and I am becoming more aware of what I am passionate about. And I am choosing to change my path in order to follow my passion. Life is full of changes and one of the scariest is graduating college and stepping into the real world. But the more we accept change, the more we will expand our horizons and stop limiting ourselves.
