Meet our NSCS Scholar of the Week, Kevin Pantoja! Kevin is a student at Full Sail University where he majors in creative writing for entertainment.
As a member of NSCS, Kevin favorite experience has been winning an award through NSCS. “So far, my favorite NSCS experience was earning the First in the Family Scholarship. Being selected as one of four winners among hundreds of applicants was a great honor that I don’t take lightly. There’s something special about getting to consistently interact with like-minded, hardworking people,” said Kevin. “I definitely expect to continue to use my NSCS connections after graduation to make the most of the opportunities that I’m incredibly lucky to have.”
Honoring the pillar of scholarship, Kevin passionately pursues earning a degree in creative writing.
“For most of my life, I was unsure of what to do with myself. I could never seem to find my calling with the many things I enjoyed. It all finally clicked when I saw an ad for Full Sail. I checked out the Creative Writing program, and as I did, the stories I used to write when I was a kid came rushing back to me,” said Kevin. “I realized that writing was something I was always passionate about, so it was time to do something about it. That’s what brought me to where I am now. It’s got me one step closer to the dream of writing films and television shows.”
