Meet our NSCS Scholar of the Week, Kelly Rivas Chacon! Kelly is a Junior at Southern New Hampshire University where she majors in Graphic Design.
As a member of NSCS, Kelly values hard work and collaboration. “Being part of NSCS has motivated me to give my best on everything I do. Being recognized for working so hard is such a rewarding feeling and by far my favorite part of NSCS,” said Kelly. “I look forward to networking and working with fellow members after graduation!”
On top of being a NSCS scholar, Kelly has exemplified a dedication to scholarship. “I’m a first-generation student. Working towards a degree, although challenging, is an achievement for me and one that my whole family is proud of. As I get closer and closer to graduating, the idea of that next achievement in life becomes more of a reality,” said Kelly.
Kelly is also an enthusiastic embracer of different cultures. “I am a native of El Salvador. After moving here when I was ten, I have had to learn a new language and a whole new culture in order to be where I am today. I am proud to be in America representing my native culture and people through my achievements.”
For being a dedicated NSCS member, a high achiever and extremely well-rounded, Kelly is our Scholar of the Week!
