Meet our NSCS Scholar of the Week, Inelyz Viruet! Inelyz is a student at Southern New Hampshire University- Online where she majors in criminology.
As a member of NSCS, Inelyz’s favorite experience has been the NSCS’s help in her educational career as an online student. “I am an online student, so I thought that NSCS would be no good for me because of that. Even though I had doubts, I still felt honored to be offered the opportunity, so I joined and it turned out that NSCS has helped me to succeed in my educational career. NSCS is able to motivate me, remind me that I am a fighter, and that success is not an option but a must,” said Inelyz. “Since I joined NSCS my grades have been nothing but excellent, and although I am an online student, receiving NSCS’s emails and newsletters makes me feel like a part of a group. I am very thankful for the opportunity to be a member of NSCS.”
Honoring the NSCS pillar of scholarship, Inelyz is a full-time student and has a full-time job while maintaining her amazing GPA.
“I have been working full-time and going to school full-time during my entire college career. I have friends who always ask me how I get enough hours in the week to do both jobs and I tell them that I am hardworking, determined and goal oriented,” said Inelyz. “Even though school wasn’t exactly handed to me, I fought for it and look at me now, I am an honor student and I am a part of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.”
