Meet our NSCS Scholar of the Week, Hayley Harmon! Hayley is an early childhood education major at the University of West Georgia in her junior year.

As a member of NSCS, Hayley appreciates the ability to be part of something bigger than herself. “NSCS has impacted my life by allowing me to be a part of something on campus. It has reflected my values as I strive to do my best in regard to my education, and NSCS has helped recognize me for that,” said Hayley. “In addition, NSCS embodies my approach to education as it not only rewards students for their high achievements, but also gives opportunities to grow both on campus and in the community.”

On top of being an NSCS scholar, Hayley is a member of her school’s Honors College and she has made the Dean’s List every semester that she has attended. “Last fall, I was recognized as an Ingram Scholar because of my hard work as an Honors student. Recently, however, I have received a scholarship through the Honors College for my high GPA and other outstanding qualities such as leadership.” said Hayley.

Hayley is also pursuing a minor in Spanish, but she still makes sure to find time to be with her family and her two dogs, Sam and Peanut.

For her academic excellence, her tenacity, and her leadership, Hayley is our Scholar of the Week!
