Meet our NSCS Scholar of the Week, Gabrielle Mitchell! Gabrielle is a freshman criminal justice major at Argosy University Online.
As a member of NSCS, Gabrielle values the honor associated with the accomplishments that her hard work produced. “When I was 28 years old, I decided to go back to school for my bachelor’s degree. After my first semester, I had a 4.0 GPA. I then got a letter from NSCS nominating me,” said Gabrielle, “I broke down and cried in the middle of Target! It is such an honor to be a member in such a prestigious society!”
On top of being a NSCS scholar, Gabrielle is a mother of two, including a one-year-old daughter. “I feel like superwoman most days, and I am proud of everything I have done! Everything I have learned is a step towards the future I crave,” she said. “I am on track to apply for the Master’s Accelerated Plan later this year to pursue my Bachelor’s and Master’s simultaneously.”
Gabrielle plans to use her education to go into law enforcement. “I plan to become a Minnesota State Trooper when I receive my bachelor’s degree, and I am also interested in forensic science and forensic psychology.”
For being a dedicated NSCS member, a diligent and busy student, and a budding forensic scientist, Gabrielle Mitchell is our Scholar of the Week!
