Meet our Scholar of the Week, Angelica Ortiz! Angelica is a recent graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she majored in Advertising and Media Production. She will be continuing her education at Virginia Commonwealth University where she will be pursuing a Master’s of Science in Advertising.
Angelica’s favorite NSCS experience was when her chapter helped record books for children. “I love to read and tell stories so it was really fun for me,” she said. “It was the end of the year, and amidst finals and such, it was a great way to help out kids and de-stress.”
During her time at UNC-Chapel Hill, Angelica served as president of the UNC-CH Social Ballroom Club. “We hold free ballroom club lessons, dance socials, and do fundraisers with our partner, Triangle Stardusters. As president, I was able to raise a total of $1000 for Stardusters and UNC-CH Social Ballroom Club.”
