Meet our NSCS Scholar of the Week, Amy! Amy is a sophomore at Southern Arkansas University where she majors in plant science.

As a member of NSCS, Amy values dedication. “I come from a separated home, in a small town. I am a first-generation college student, and I am working three jobs to put myself through school” said Amy. “I have a love for helping others and dancing. I’m lucky enough to be able to do these things while also securing my own degree!”

On top of being a NSCS scholar, Amy is hardworking. “I secured an eight-week summer internship, and on top of being a full-time student, I work three part-time jobs, as a desk assistant, a tutor, and most recently a ballet instructor,” said Amy.

Amy is also planning to continue striving for absolute success in her studies. “The recognition and acknowledgement of my hard work and accomplishments have been my most valued NSCS experiences thus far,” she said.

For being a dedicated NSCS member, a high achiever and extremely well-rounded, Amy is our Scholar of the Week!
