Meet our NSCS Scholar of the Week, Joshua Fricker! Joshua is a junior at the University of Georgia, where he is a Biology major.

Joshua’s favorite NSCS experience was serving on the Executive Board of his chapter. “I served as the treasurer and enjoyed every second of it. The highlight of my work probably came together during the NSCS induction ceremony,” he says. “After all the hard work of planning the event, it was very rewarding to see our students, many accompanied by their parents, be inducted into this honor society and join our community. It was my favorite NSCS experience because I got to see firsthand how our hard work impacts our members.”

Joshua is an avid outdoorsman. “As long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the outdoors. Growing up I was really involved in Cub Scouts, which led to my involvement in Boy Scouts. All of my hard work in the scouts allowed me to eventually achieve the highest honor in Boy Scouts, Eagle Scout,” he says. “Many summers ago I completed a high adventure camp through the Boy Scouts, Northern Tier, where my crew and I canoed over 100 miles in the border waters of Minnesota and Canada. I also love to hunt and fish.”

For his support of his chapter and other NSCS members, Joshua is our Scholar of the Week! Congratulations!
