Twelve Members of the University of Puerto Rico Chapter volunteered to interact with abused animals and with the workers at the Albergue de Animales Animal shelter. Members helped out by cleaning cages, nurturing the animals and assisting with food supplies. The animals have been victims of cruelty, abuse and confinement, when they are rescued and given a second home, and a second chance at a happy life.

José Camacho Vázquez, Chapter Secretary said “At the end of the activity, everyone seemed very pleased with how everything turned out. The animals seemed very grateful and happy with all of the play and loving care.”
