With a country that possesses more artists than consumers, we decided to keep this week’s playlist somewhat old-school. Every musical styling – from Folk to Dancehall – has originated, or has been created, produced, and played throughout Jaimaica’s lands. Though many of these genres have taken on different variations in recent years, we’re going back to the beginning of Jamaica’s musical sounds. Think you know what the island has been listening to throughout the years? Kick-back, relax and take a listen to see if you’re right!

Check back and tune-in next week for a continued international dose of the NSCS Pop Geek playlist!
