Scholar of the Week: Mariah Wang

Scholar of the Week: Mariah Wang

Meet our NSCS Scholar of the Week, Mariah Wang! Mariah is a student at Colorado State University, where she is an environmental engineering major.

Mariah’s favorite NSCS experience was winning the food drive competition that her chapter hosted with University of Colorado Boulder.  The chapter delivered hundreds of cans and other non-perishable food to the Food Bank for Larimer County in Colorado. Mariah understands the importance of teamwork as a chapter officer.  “I am really proud to be an NSCS member and am honored to serve as one of officers of our local chapter. It has been a real pleasure to work with the awesome people on our team this year,” Mariah said.

Mariah loves reading and studying (being nerdy), and also relaxing with fun outdoor activities like cliff-diving, snorkeling, and volunteering!  Mariah is passionate about the environment. “My long-term career goal is to work as an environmental engineer, who combines the knowledge of agricultural related sciences and environmental engineering together in my work.”

For her commitment to campus and her community, Mariah is our Scholar of the Week! Congratulations!
