Meet our NSCS Scholar of the Week, Le Anne Ahern! Le Anne is a student at The University of Alabama where she majors in public relations.
As a member of NSCS, Le Anne’s favorite experience is taking the lead in many NSCS officer positions within her school’s chapter. “My favorite NSCS experience has been being a leader within our chapter as VP of community service, vice president, and president. Exemplifying and encouraging others to practice scholarship, leadership, and service has been the most rewarding experience,” said Le Anne. “NSCS has helped mold me into the person that I am today and has shown me what it truly means to have outstanding character and leadership.”
While honoring the NSCS pillars of scholarship and leadership, Le Anne is also a first-generation college student.
“Something interesting about me is that I am the first in my family to attend college and it is the best decision I have ever made. Being the first in my family to attend college has allowed me to motivate myself and excel in an effort to make my family proud,” said Le Anne. “Coming from a large family, they are my biggest fans and encourage me every day to be successful and the best version of myself that I can be.”
For upholding the pillars of scholarship and leadership, as well as being the first in her family to go to college, Le Anne is our Scholar of the Week!
