Meet our NSCS Scholar of the Week, Elissa Title! Elissa is a senior at Chapman University where she is studying Graphic Design.

Elissa’s favorite NSCS experience was her New Member Induction Ceremony. “It was really special to be surrounded by like-minded, service-oriented individuals,” she says. “Receiving my NSCS invitation made me really proud because it goes to show that hard work really does pay off, even if you’re super stressed throughout the semester!”

Elissa has spent a summer as a lion conservation volunteer photographer in Zimbabwe. “As a photographer, I worked hand-in-hand with researchers from African Lion & Environmental Trust and the African Impact team documenting lion behavior to better understand how we can increase lion populations and work with local communities to do so. I have made it my mission to raise awareness about global issues,” she says. Her work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times and in gallery exhibitions. “It’s great to be able to combine my passions for African wildlife conservation, photography, and graphic design!”

For her contributions to conservation, Elissa is our Scholar of the Week! Congratulations!
