Meet our NSCS Scholar of the Week, Amani Abutaha! Amani is a junior at The University of Toledo, where she is a Human Resource Management major.

Amani’s favorite NSCS experience was creating a Jared Box for the children in the hospital. “I had a great time picking out the toys and decorating the boxes,” she says. “It was a great experience for me knowing that I am creating beautiful smiles and hope for the children.”

Amani recently was elected as the Vice President for The Society for Human Resource Management and Phi Eta Sigma organizations at her university, and she enjoys basketball and running. “For my senior project, I helped the homeless people in the Toledo area. I organized multiple fundraising activities, collected over 50 boxes of donated clothing from different communities, donated and served boxes of cooked food and fresh bagels, and promoted donations to help the homeless from different communities,” she says. “I work hard for everything that I set my mind to. For a motivational push, I always remind myself that hard work, dreams, and dedication will lead to success.”

For her efforts to aid her community, Amani is our Scholar of the Week! Congratulations!
